10 Questions Every Tarot Reader Should Answer

Here are my answers to Left-Hand Tarot's questions to help you get to know a little bit more about me and my reading style!

1. Were you mentored, or were you self-taught?

I am self-taught.  In 2011 I was encouraged by a seasoned reader and friend, Lilah Carson, to start learning.  Since that time she passed on and became one of my Spirit Guides.  I began studying the Tarot, Astrology, and metaphysics…everything esoteric and occult really, and never stopped.  I’m still learning and continue to actively add to and expand my knowledge everyday.  And I’ll always be learning because I consider myself a student at heart.  But I can say I’ve learned enough to be able to apply it and help others.

2. Are you a psychic or a Tarot reader?

I would say that I am an empath, psychic intuitive and avid Tarot reader and astrologer.  I’ve always been in love with and drawn to the Mysteries so this in itself opens doors to a lot of worlds that I am familiar with.  Recently, I've been experiencing more of a strengthened connection with those who have crossed over, so I'll soon be adding Medium to the list.

3. Are your predictions accurate, and is accuracy important to you?

I take predictions to mean I am telling a client something will occur in the future.  I don’t base my readings on predictions.

That isn’t to say that predictions don’t come through in my readings. If messages from my Spirit Team or theirs come through I don’t ever withhold those, especially if it is coming through as ‘most important information’.  And things like, “If you continue on the path you’re on, [xyz] is likely to happen.” definitely come up as well.

But most importantly I like to keep my clients in the present moment so they’re able to focus on specific goals or explore their options if need be.  My job is to help others reconnect with their own intuition and trust it to know what’s right and true for themselves as they move forward and make decisions.

Accuracy is very important to me. And I have received positive feedback stating that my assessment of a matter, whether it be past, present or future, are very accurate. So someone wanting to know when the world was going to end wouldn’t come to me.  But someone who was feeling a little stuck, needing a little guidance or a practical action plan, and wanting to make their dreams come true definitely would!

4. Is there anything you can’t predict in a reading?

Rather than can’t, I think the better statement would be that there are things that I wouldn’t want to or wouldn’t even attempt to predict.  Death for example. You won’t hear me say in a reading that a person is going to die. Things are always changing. Nothing is ever set in stone. The free will is in place for a reason. I wouldn’t ever try to or want to restrict someone in that way by implanting that kind of limitation in them.

5. Do you use only Tarot, or are you multi-disciplinary?

I use many things, hence: Universal Student!  I have a Masters degree in Behavior Analysis, so formula, precision, and creating a method that works every time you use it is in my foundation. The Tarot is of course a main go-to for me, as well as the Ancestors and Spirit Teams, Astrology, and my Intuition. I tailor my readings for each client, though, combining both science and spirituality. If the oracle or crystals or sound healing or candle magic or shamanic journeying or a spell is calling out to me, I work with them too.  I’m open to any tool that aligns with the client and myself.  “With harm to none.”

6. Is the message in the cards or in your head?

The Tarot is a tool.  It conveys a message.  Ultimately I work with it using my knowledge of the symbols and my own experiences to translate it into something my client will understand and relate to for their best good.

7. Are you a priest or a fortune-teller?

I am not formally a Priestess, meaning I have not been inducted into a religion or specific spiritual practice, however I believe that when a person decides to start to learn the Mysteries respectfully, then they are initiated.  In that way I would say that I am a Priestess. I’m a practitioner, a reader, a diviner, a scientist, an analyst, an adviser, a coach, and motivator; both a student & teacher.

8. Are you a fixer or a looker?

I look and assess and then give others the tools they need to fix themselves.  Based on my assessment and the client’s tendencies I provide ways that they can create and maintain positive, lasting change in their lives in order to get to where they want to be.

9.  Do you read for free or for a fee?

My practice is my profession, so there is a fee. I gift many readings though and also offer readings for donation in return.  I believe in the Laws of the Universe, one of them being the Law of Giving & Receiving.

10. Is there anything you won’t predict in a reading?

In giving a reading for someone else, I won’t predict anything gambling related: lottery numbers, next president, Super Bowl winners etc. I won’t ever give an exact date: January 7, 2017 etc. (unless that date comes from my Spirit Team or theirs, and even then I would preface it with “this is what I’m getting”). I will however give time frames: late Summer, early Fall, numbers, colors, or characteristics: charming, fiery personality, authoritative, decisive etc. I will read for the possibility of pregnancy conception.  And yes, I am open to reading on motives and cheating amongst spouses or those in a committed relationship.  If it affects my client’s being able to achieve their highest potential & purpose, I’ll take a look.
